Great lock , same as the original but with a key !Takes a little jiggle with the key to open !To close is easy peezy ! I hold on to original gas cap just in case ! A bit flimsy but works good

My old one (different brand) had a key hole that was difficult to get a key into after a while and the locking mechanism didn’t always work.Been using this one for a few months now and seems to be working great

Fit as advertised, purchased because of the fuel situation here on the east coast. Easny sure how far things would go….. people use ing Walmart plastic bags to get extra gas was a new high…. Wanted to protect my tank from thrived.

Seems to fit perfectly on my 2021 Ram Promaster 1500. The cap is plastic so, obviously, it won’t stop someone really determined and willing to damage things but I expect most people looking for a quick siphon will skip it for something much easier. I’m pretty sure I already saw someone park next to me, take a look and leave. The one thing I wish it still had was the tether like the stock cap since there’s no cap holder on the Promaster and it does take awhile to fill up so you are stuck holding the thing in your hand or you risk forgetting it. Granted, it’d be tricky as the tether connected in the center where the lock core is on this one. Maybe there’s a market for a cap holder that could be glued to the inside of the door.

Might take a couple tries to get the locking mechanism down, but worth the money. Make sure it has the rubber gasket, or your car will throw a code that the gas cap is loose. I’ve bought 3 of these lately from different vendors, not sure which vendor sent the one without the seal, but my truck dings all the time about the loose gas cap. The other 2 are great.

Recently bought a ’21 Winnebago Travato and park it along the side of my driveway. Realized that the fuel door to the gas cap does not lock (every vehicle I’ve owned since the 80’s has a locking fuel door) and needed a solution so someone doesn’t come along and help themselves to 20 gallons of fuel. The gas cap fits perfectly and comes with two keys. Once locked the gas cap just spins when you try to remove it. While it may not stop all thieves from trying to siphon fuel but at least it will slow them down if they try hopefully moving along.

I haven’t had a locking gas cap in quite a while, this one feels as flimsy as most of the modern gas caps do, but it does the job. I mean, if anyone really wanted to break any gas cap they could. With oil prices about to shoot through the roof due to the Russian-Ukraine war, better lock it up or someone will steal your gas when it hits $7/gal.

Fits perfectly on my Dodge Challenger and works well

Somehow I don’t think it would stand up to a crowbar but it is hard to imagine an affordable solution that would. Actually I found myself comparing the cost of siphoned gas against the repairs that would be needed if someone did take a crowbar to the refueling pocket but, alas, all I can hope for is that the thieves will go for the easy mark, i.e., one of my neighbors, and leave me unmolested. Not a very good neighbor, am I?

With today’s high gas prices not all vehicles come with an unlock feature for the gas tank cover inside the vehicle. This leaves your vehicle subject to gasoline theft. This lock works great easy to instal and easy to unlock.l
